Nermy J. Winner

Nermy is an associate in Taft’s Indianapolis office and focuses her practice on general corporate matters. Nermy has honed her critical thinking and legal writing skills through multiple legal internships, including interning for the Hon. Melissa S. May, Indiana Court of Appeals, and the Hon. Heather A. Welch, Indiana Commercial Court.

Before joining the firm, Nermy worked as a mental health therapist and was a certified legal intern for the Health and Human Rights Clinic.

Nermy earned her J.D. and two Graduate Certificates in Corporate and Commercial Law, and Advocacy Skills from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. During law school, Nermy was the Editor-In-Chief for the Indiana Health Law Review, the Assistant Chief Justice of Problem Writing and CLE on the Moot Court Executive Board, and a student-coach for the National Moot Court Competition.

Nermy holds a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Walden University and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and law enforcement administration from Indiana University. Nermy has been with Taft since 2021 as a 1L and a 2L summer associate and as a law clerk.
