Three Laterals Join Briggs and Morgan

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – Briggs and Morgan, Professional Association announces the hiring of three lateral attorneys, shareholder Jennifer A. Lammers and associates Jolie S. Frederickson and Roderick A. Mauszycki.

Jennifer A. Lammers, shareholder, joins the firm’s estate planning and administration section, focusing her practice on estate planning, business succession planning, probate and trust administration, and elder law. She is a frequent lecturer and author on these topics. Lammers has been named a “Rising Star” by Minnesota Law & Politics and is a member of the Hennepin County, American and Minnesota State Bar associations; MSBA’s Elder Law Section; and HCBA’s Probate and Trust Law Section. She is also a member of the MSBA Probate and Trust Law Section’s legislative committee where she serves as chair of both the Agriculture Subcommittee and the Homestead Subcommittee. She is a board member of the Minnesota Real Estate Foundation.

Lammers received her B.A. cum laude in economics from Hamline University and her J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law. Prior to attending law school she worked as a trust officer managing and administrating trust and estates for high-net worth clients. She is the founder and coordinator of an estate planning clinic established by William Mitchell College of Law in conjunction with the Minnesota Justice Foundation for the purpose of connecting law students with low-income seniors in need of estate planning assistance.

Jolie S. Frederickson, associate, joins the business law section. She concentrates her practice on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and business formation. Frederickson is admitted to practice in Minnesota; the U.S. District Court, District of Minnesota; and Wisconsin. She is a member of the Hennepin County, Minnesota State, and Wisconsin State Bar associations, as well as Minnesota Women Lawyers. She received her B.A. in political science and economics from Macalaster College and her J.D. cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law, where she was associate editor of the law review.

Roderick A. Mauszycki, associate, also joins the firm’s business law section with an emphasis on federal tax law and individual and corporate tax planning. He also practices in the areas of general corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and executive compensation issues. He is a member of the Hennepin County, Minnesota State, and Florida Bar associations. He is admitted to practice in Minnesota, Florida and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Mauszycki received his B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law. He also has a masters degree in business taxation from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. Prior to joining the private practice of law, Rod worked in the tax departments of international accounting firms KPMG and Deloitte.
