Patent Attorney, Former Engineer Brings Technical Skill to Briggs' IP Team


MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – Patent attorney Daniel A. Rosenberg  joins Briggs and Morgan, Professional Association, after practicing 10 years in Iowa. He is a member of the firm’s business law section.

Rosenberg, who is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), brings unique technical experience to the intellectual property practice group stemming from over a decade of experience in semiconductor process engineering. He previously worked for Intel Corporation and Advanced Micro Devices, and understands the technical demands and challenges of such environments from the perspective of both engineer and intellectual property attorney.

During his career, Rosenberg has been responsible for more than 400 domestic and foreign trademark applications for clients in many industries, including the fields of medicine, telecommunications, manufacturing, and software and electronics, among numerous others.

Rosenberg is admitted to practice in Minnesota, Iowa state and federal courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He is a member of the Minnesota, Iowa State and American Bar associations; the American Intellectual Property Law Association; the International Trademark Association; and the Iowa Intellectual Property Law Association.

Rosenberg received his B.S. in mathematics from Iowa State University and his J.D. from Drake University Law School, where he was elected to Order of the Coif and also received a physics minor.
