Briggs’ Director of Lawyer Talent, Kendra Brodin, authored an article titled, "Minnesota Women Lawyer’s 'Big Tent' Diversity As Our Strength," for the recent Minnesota Edition of Attorney at Law magazine. In the article, Brodin, who serves as 2017-2018 President of Minnesota Women Lawyers (MWL), details the organization’s goals and strategic plan.

Brodin hopes to achieve the group’s goals by focusing on how MWL can be a "big tent" under which a diverse membership can grow, feel welcomed, and be supported.

"Women attorneys in the state of Minnesota are diverse in many ways, but we come together because of at least one significant attribute we share in common – our identification as women lawyers," Brodin explains. "Under that 'big tent,' MWL members represent different ethnic and racial backgrounds, career and professional paths, sexual orientations and gender identities, practice areas and types of organizations, geographic locations, and years of experience and generations."
