MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – Briggs and Morgan, P.A. is pleased to announce that Jing Jin has been named an Up & Coming Attorney for 2017 by Minnesota Lawyer. The annual listing honors lawyers who distinguish themselves in their first 10 years of practice through professional accomplishment, leadership and service to the community and the legal profession.
Jin is a member of the Briggs Financial Institutions and Real Estate section and represents all types of lenders and borrowers in complex financing facilities and structured lending transactions, including: traditional commercial lending, including asset-based lending and syndicated credit facilities, acquisition financing, mezzanine financing, mortgage warehouse financing facilities and commercial real estate lending. She also has extensive prior experience in financing facilities for hedge fund borrowers, structured receivables finance transactions and asset-backed securities across a variety of asset-types.
Within the Twin Cities, Jin volunteers as a pro bono naturalization interview coverage attorney for Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services, Refugee, Immigrant, and Migrant Services, helping applicants for U.S. naturalization navigate the in-person interview and civics test before an United States Citizenship and Immigration Services officer. In addition, her proficiency with Mandarin Chinese and familiarity with both American and Chinese culture, legal education systems and professional landscapes have naturally led her to be a mentor to Chinese law students pursuing JD degrees at area law schools.
“It’s an honor to be included among this talented and inspiring group of Minnesota area attorneys recognized by Minnesota Lawyer,” said Jin. “This distinction attests to the Minnesota legal community’s support for and encouragement of young legal professionals and yet again demonstrates what makes Minnesota a great place to practice law.”
Jin received her juris doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center, completing part of her studies at Tsinghua University Law School in Beijing, and her bachelor’s degree from Princeton University.
