Briggs’ Energy Law Practice Welcomes Rikaela Greane

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. (December 2, 2019) –  Rikaela Greane has joined Briggs and Morgan as an associate in the firm’s Energy Law section. She practices primarily in the areas of public utility regulation, energy industry regulation and commercial transactions, and administrative law and procedure.

Greane represents utilities and other energy market participants on a range of state and federal energy regulation matters, with a focus on traditional electric and natural gas utility rate cases, plant construction and retirements, and retail electric and natural gas supplier compliance. Greane was elected to the Public Utilities Board of the Wisconsin Bar in 2019 and is serving a three-year term. 

Before joining Briggs, Greane was an associate at a national firm, where she gained experience in ratemaking and regulatory law. She is currently licensed in Wisconsin.

Greane earned her J.D. magna cum laude from Vermont Law School, where she was an articles editor for Vermont Law Review and a research associate for the Institute for Energy and the Environment. She earned her B.A. in political science and environmental studies from St. Olaf College.
