Briggs and Morgan Welcomes Helen Meyer to the Firm

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. (Sept. 19, 2014) – Briggs and Morgan, P.A. is pleased to welcome attorney Helen Meyer to the firm. Meyer will join the Business Litigation Section and the Appellate and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) practice groups.

Meyer served as Associate Supreme Court Justice for the Minnesota Supreme Court from 2002-2012. After resigning from the court, she joined William Mitchell College of Law as a distinguished jurist-in-residence. Prior to joining the court, Meyer worked for twenty years as a civil litigator and mediator and she established her own law firm.

Meyer currently serves on the board of trustees of William Mitchell College of Law; is chair of the Advisory Board of the Child Protection Clinic; is a member of the Advisory Board for Minnesota Women Lawyers; and is co-chair of the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Task Force on the Future of Legal Education. She received her J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law and her B.A. from the University of Minnesota. Meyer has been awarded the Rosalie E. Wahl Justice for Children Award from the Children’s Law Center; the Distinguished Jurist Award from the Academy of Certified Trial Lawyers; and the Outstanding Service to the Profession Award by Minnesota Lawyer.
