Briggs Announces 2019 Board of Directors

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. –  Briggs and Morgan is pleased to announce the firm’s 2019 board of directors, effective immediately. Shareholders Britt Gilbertson and Steve Kozachok have been elected to replace outgoing board members Chuck Johnson and Mike Krikava. Board members each serve a three-year term.

Gilbertson is head of the firm’s Employment, Benefit and Labor section. She practices principally in the areas of employment litigation, employment counseling, non-compete agreements and restraining orders, business litigation, and internal investigations. Gilbertson represents clients in state and federal courts and in proceedings before state and federal agencies, including the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Minnesota Department of Human Rights. 

Kozachok co-chairs the Private Equity, Information Technology and IP Prosecution practice groups. He is the former co-chair of the firm's Business Law section. He has extensive experience in private equity, IT and healthcare transactions. Kozachok practices principally in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, financings, strategic relationships, commercial contracts, entity formation and business planning, corporate governance, and general corporate and securities law.
