Associates Emily Collins and Kristin Emmons Join Briggs

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. –  Emily Collins has joined  Briggs and Morgan’s Business Law section and Kristin Emmons has joined the firm’s Employment, Benefits and Labor section, both as associate attorneys.

Collins earned her law degree with a concentration in business law from the University of Minnesota Law School, cum laude, where she instructed Environmental Law Moot Court and represented the University of Minnesota at the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition in 2017. While in law school, she served as an admissions ambassador and a law clerk for the Office of Health Information Privacy and Compliance. Collins earned her bachelor's degree in journalism with a minor in French studies, summa cum laude, from the University of Minnesota and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.

Emmons earned her law degree with a concentration in business law from the University of Minnesota Law School, magna cum laude, where she served as an admissions ambassador, and was active in the Business Law Association and the Litigation and Trial Advocacy Group. While in law school, she participated in Intellectual Property Moot Court as a director and competitor and won the Regional Moot Court Competition in 2017. She earned a bachelor of business administration in management and a bachelor of arts in political science from the University of North Dakota, both summa cum laude, and was a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society and the Phi Beta Lambda organization.

Both Collins and Emmons were 2016 summer associates at the firm.
