John Degnan Receives Ramsey County Pro Bono Award

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. (November 2010) – Briggs and Morgan Shareholder John M. Degnan was recognized with Ramsey County Bar Association’s Second Judicial District Pro Bono Award, given for exceptional pro bono legal services, particularly to Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services (SMRLS). Degnan serves as a member of the campaign leadership committee, as a volunteer attorney and as a mentor and trainer to Legal Aid staff of SMRLS, an organization providing free legal assistance to low-income individuals in southern Minnesota.

Practicing in the area of business litigation for more than 30 years, Degnan is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American Board of Trial Advocates. He has been repeatedly listed in Minnesota Super Lawyers and relatedly, one of the designation’s top 100 “Super Lawyers", as seen in  Minnesota Law & Politics. John was named a 2009 "Attorney of the Year" by Minnesota Lawyer and he has also been named a Top 40 Business Litigation Super Lawyer and a “Leading American Attorney.”
