MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. (Feb. 18, 2011) – Briggs and Morgan shareholder Jay W. Schlosser recently received the BTI Consulting Group’s Client Service All-Stardesignation.
The 2011 BTI Client Service All-Star honor is given to attorneys who have been selected by corporate counsel, based on unprompted feedback, for delivering the best client service when demands are high and client expectations are higher. Schlosser joins other BTI Client Service All-Stars in being recognized for their client focus, exceptional understanding of their client’s business, outstanding results, value to the client and overall legal skills.
Schlosser is a member of the Trade Regulation Section and concentrates his practice on representing franchisors and manufacturers in connection with distribution and relationship issues. In addition to counseling clients on these issues, Schlosser is an experienced litigator, handling hundreds of court cases and arbitrations in various venues. While the majority of his practice pertains to working with franchisors and manufacturers and the relationships they have with their franchisees and dealers, he also regularly provides counseling and litigation work for companies dealing with various related issues, including antitrust; general business/contract and enforcement/analysis of non-compete agreements. Schlosser has authored various articles on antitrust and franchise issues, including a recent article regarding the use of summary judgment in arbitration proceedings which was published in LJN’s Franchising Business & Law Alert. Schlosser is a member of the ABA Forum on Franchising, as well as the Hennepin County, Minnesota State and American bar associations. He received his B.S. from Mankato State University and received his law degree cum laudefrom the University of Notre Dame.
