Briggs Attorney Named 2011 “Up & Coming Attorney”

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. (March 16, 2011) – Briggs and Morgan, Professional Association is pleased to announce that Britt M. Gilbertson has been named 2011 “Up & Coming Attorney” by Minnesota Lawyer. This award is given to those attorneys with exemplary professional accomplishments, leadership skills, and who have shown outstanding dedication to serving the community and/or the profession within their first ten years of bar admittance.

Gilbertson is a member of Briggs and Morgan’s Employment, Benefits and Labor Section and focuses her practice on employer-side employment litigation and counseling. She represents clients in state and federal courts and before state and federal agencies, including the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Minnesota Department of Human Rights. Gilbertson counsels her clients on a variety of workplace issues such as hiring, discharge, employment contracts and employment policies. She received a B.A. with honors in business administration from Augsburg College and received her J.D.magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School, where she was elected to Order of the Coif. She joined Briggs in 2006.
