Briggs Attorneys to Speak at 2011 Upper Midwest Employment Law Institute Conference

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. (May 9, 2011) - Briggs and Morgan Employment, Benefits and Labor shareholders Gregory J. Stenmoe and Ann Huntrods will present at the 2011 Upper Midwest Employment Law Institute May 23 and 24 at the St. Paul River Center. Stenmoe will be presenting on the legal, ethical and practical challenges of dealing with actual and potentially attorney-client privileged material and information in litigation. Huntrods will recap the 2011 case update for the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), providing those familiar with the basics of FMLA a legal update and practical application of case law developments.

Stenmoe has been involved in a number of groundbreaking cases and affirmations of employer rights in the courts. He is a trial lawyer and also counsels on discipline and discharge issues and serves as a corporate investigator.

Huntrods has more than 25 years of experience in employment law and litigation. She frequently assists employers in responding to charges brought before the Minnesota Department of Human Rights and U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and she conducts internal investigations for employers both prior to and after litigation begins.
