MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. (May 17, 2011) – Briggs and Morgan, P.A. is pleased to announce firm president and shareholder Alan H. Maclin was awarded the 2011 Excellence in Diversity Award by the Ramsey County Bar Association (RCBA). In addition to his 35 years of volunteer work with the Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services, Maclin was recognized for his work with the Children’s Law Center, Advocates for Human Rights, Minnesota Women Lawyers, Volunteer Lawyers Network and for supporting firm diversity efforts.
Maclin is a member of the Business Litigation Section and heads up a seasoned team of attorneys in the defense of mortgage bankers and other financial institutions in consumer class action litigation across the country. He also has served as lead counsel in representing businesses in antitrust litigation. He joined Briggs in 1980.
The Excellence in Diversity Award recognizes the efforts of those who encourage, support and promote diversity and equal opportunities for women, minorities and other members of historically under-represented groups in the community.
