Dennis Knoer Elected President of the MSBA Business Law Section

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. (August 4, 2011) – Briggs and Morgan shareholder Dennis L. Knoer was elected president of the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Business Law Section for 2011-2012. The MSBA Business Law Section is responsible for improvements to the Business Corporation Act, the Uniform Commercial Code, the Uniform Partnership Act, the Limited Liability Companies Act, and the Non-profit Corporation Act. Knoer recently served as the section’s vice president and legislative coordinator.

Knoer is a shareholder and a member of the firm’s Business Law Section, practicing principally in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, securities, and corporate governance. He provides outside general counsel to a number of privately held companies and has extensive experience negotiating various transactions on behalf of his clients. Knoer received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center where he was a staff member of theAmerican Criminal Law Review. He joined Briggs in 2007.
