MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. (May 28, 2014) – Briggs and Morgan, Professional Association, is pleased to welcome shareholder Kristine Boylan to the firm. Boylan is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Section, and Trademark Litigation and Brand Protection, and Trademark Registration and Management practice groups. Focusing on the commercial side of intellectual property rights, she provides trademark, patent and copyright owners with enforcement, procurement, protection and litigation services. She also represents clients in Alternative Dispute Resolution and Business Litigation.
Boylan is a member of the Federal, American, Hennepin County and Minnesota State Bar associations, as well as Minnesota Women Lawyers. She also is a member of both the Minnesota and American Intellectual Property Law associations. Boylan has been named a Minnesota Rising Star for multiple years in a row and one of the Top Women Attorneys in Minnesota. She was recently appointed as a Panelist to the Panel of Neutrals for the International Trademark Association.
Boylan is admitted to practice in Minnesota, Wisconsin, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, the U.S. Supreme Court, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, Nebraska, Illinois and Florida. She received her B.A. in English Writing from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and her J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law. While in law school, she interned for the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Prior to joining Briggs, Boylan worked for another Twin Cities law firm.
