Briggs and Morgan Promotes New Shareholder

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. (Aug. 26, 2011) – Briggs and Morgan, Professional Association announces the election of a new shareholder, Valerie Herring. She was formerly an associate with the firm.

Herring is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation Section and Energy Law Group, and focuses her practice in the areas of energy facility permitting and compliance issues. She has a breadth of experience in utility law, administrative law and regulatory compliance, and renewable energy. Herring received her B.A. summa cum laude from Luther College in economics and political science and her J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law with high distinction. While in law school, she was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as an associate editor of the Journal of Transactional Law and Contemporary Problems. Herring joined Briggs in 2004.
