Briggs and Morgan shareholder Phil Schenkenberg recently authored a blog post entitled, “Cyber Security Items Every Vendor Contract Should Include,” as part of the 2014 Cyber Security Summit. In the post, Schenkenberg addresses what terms and conditions companies should include in their vendor contracts in order to maintain data security. The full post can be read here.
Schenkenberg serves as a member of the Cyber Security Summit’s board of advisors and will also be moderating a panel at this year’s event, Oct. 21-22, Minneapolis. The Summit brings together industry, government and academic interests in an effort to improve the state of cyber security on both a domestic and international level.
Schenkenberg is co-chair of the firm’s Business Litigation Section and is a member of the firm’s Privacy and Data Security Group, which offers a full range of services to help clients prevent, prepare for, and minimize the impact of data security breaches and cyber attacks. He also serves as the firm’s Data Security Manager and chairs the firm’s Information Security Committee.
