Elizabeth M. Brama, associate in the firm of Briggs and Morgan, Professional Association, is president of the Twin Cities’ Sexual Violence Center (SVC). The nonprofit, which assists youth and adult victims of sexual violence throughout Hennepin, Carver and Scott counties, is actively seeking interested professionals to join its board of directors.

“The SVC board presents a unique opportunity, especially to upcoming professionals, to get directly involved in tackling an important social justice issue,” says Brama, who has served on the board for four years and as president since April 2006. “Our goal is to find diverse candidates who are willing to roll up their sleeves and work to eradicate sexual violence.”

There are currently four vacant seats on the SVC board, with two more anticipated for the year. Interested candidates can learn more about applying on the Web. To view the application and commitment expectations, click here.
