MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – Briggs and Morgan, Professional Association has been ranked as one of the nation’s 250 largest law firms, as listed in The NLJ 250, an annual list published by The National Law Journal. Briggs was No. 237 on the list.

The National Law Journal sent surveys to approximately 300 law firms and also solicited survey submissions for its research. Law firms are chosen for the list based on attorney headcount, not including contract or temporary hires. Census information is from Oct. 1, 2006 to September 30, 2007.

According to a news release by the publication, associate growth at NLJ 250 firms outpaced the tallies of 2006. Briggs hired a record number of associates in fall 2007 alone, adding 12 to its roster.

In addition to making The NLJ 250, Briggs and Morgan also enjoyed the distinction of being ranked No. 1 in Minnesota for labor and employment, and trusts and estates by The Best Lawyers in America 2008.
