Attorneys Heidi Fessler and John Degnan Presented Best Practices in Discovery and Information Governance to In-House Counsel

Briggs shareholders Heidi Fessler and John Degnan co-presented with @Legal Discovery "Policy, Preservation and Prevention - Controlling the Web of Information and Discovery." The seminar was hosted by the Minnesota chapter of the Association for Corporate Counsel. Topics included information governance and corporate policy development, including Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) guidance, and also use of personal email systems.
Fessler leads the firm’s E-Discovery and Information Governance Practice Group and is a founding member of the Minnesota E-Discovery Working Group. She works with clients on a wide variety of matters involving the discovery of electronic data within the context of litigation and investigative matters. Fessler strives to raise awareness regarding digital data and the role of information governance, e-discovery and risk management within the corporate environment.
Degnan is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation Section and the firm’s E-Discovery and Information Governance Practice Group. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and has more than 39 years of experience handling civil litigation, jury trials and administrative proceedings. Degnan was a member and one of the co-chairs of the Minnesota E-Discovery Working Group, which developed best practices in e-discovery.
