Attorney John Degnan Presented Discovery Best Practices to Judges

Briggs shareholder John Degnan presented "E-Discovery: Best Practices Every Judge Needs to Know" at the 2015 Managing the Challenging Civil Case seminar by MJB Judicial Education, Minnesota District Judges Foundation and Hamline University School of Law. Topics included technology for storing, discovering and producing digital information; proportionality requirements that influence discovery; hold orders and preservation issues; and sanctions and attorneys' fees.

Degnan is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation Section and the firm’s E-Discovery and Information Governance Practice Group. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and has more than 39 years of experience handling civil litigation, jury trials and administrative proceedings. Degnan was a member and one of the co-chairs of the Minnesota E-Discovery Working Group, which developed best practices in e-discovery.
