Pro Bono CLE Breakout Session

As part of National Pro Bono Week, Briggs and Morgan and LegalCORPS will host a breakout session during the Pro Bono CLE at Minnesota CLE program.

The breakout session, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., will be held at Briggs and Morgan's Minneapolis office, on the 22nd floor of the IDS Center.  This breakout session will provide basic information regarding intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights, to pro bono attorneys with an interest in representing small companies or non-profit organizations.  The speakers include Briggs and Morgan attorneys Andrea BondMichael Lafeber, and Audrey Babcock.

The entire program begins at 8:30 a.m. at Minnesota CLE, and runs until 4:30 p.m.  Topics will include pro bono representations in foreclosure proceedings, poverty law in pro bono legal services and ethical issues for pro bono representation. Following the day program, Minnesota CLE will host a Pro Bono Celebration from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Lunch during the breakout session will be provided.  CLE application has been made for 5.5 CLE credits, including 3.5 standard credits, 1 ethics credit and 1 elimination of bias credit.
