The Minnesota State Bar Association's (MSBA) Appellate Practice Section and the Minnesota Supreme Court Historical Society present a sesquicentennial event, the Minnesota Supreme Court Law Clerk Reunion.

Minnesota Supreme Court Chief Justice Designate Eric J. Magnuson and Sam Hanson, former justice, will be among several panelists participating in discussion about "The History of the Minnesota Supreme Court: A View from the Law Clerks." Discussion will involve firsthand insight on landmark decisions, court dynamics and personalities, and memories that aim to enhance an appellate lawyer's effectiveness.

Former judicial clerks are encouraged to attend this special event.

Magnuson is the latest Briggs and Morgan attorney to forge ties with the state judiciary system. He was appointed the next Minnesota Supreme Court chief justice on the heels of Hanson's return from the appellate courts to Briggs and Morgan. The two join a long history of Briggs attorneys who have served on the bench. For more on Briggs' history, click here.
