Please join us for breakfast and an informative discussion on recent Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) developments, including proposed regulatory changes and new guidelines for:

  • Giving proper notice to employers
  • Whether paid holidays count toward FMLA
  • Enforceability of employee’s release of claims
  • Leave related to military service

About the Speakers

Ann Huntrods is a shareholder in Briggs’ labor and employment section who practices principally in the areas of employment litigation, counseling and training. Her experience includes extensive work defending employers against claims of disability and age discrimination, and sexual harassment. She has also provided legal training to managers and employees on various topics.

Michael Wilhelm is an associate in the labor and employment section at Briggs. He focuses on employment litigation and counseling. He is the co-author of “Corporate Indemnification: A Step-by-Step Guide for HR Professionals,” which will be published in Thomson Reuters’ Human Resources 2008 this summer.
