A dispute arose among family members as to the direction of, and investment in, a successful local manufacturing business. We represented the family member who had been frozen out of decision-making. We won at trial: the court determined that our client had been treated unfairly, and awarded him half of the value of the business, plus attorneys' fees. As we sought to collect on the judgment, the other party shut down the business and declared personal bankruptcy in Nevada. Nevertheless, the company's assets were disposed of in a way that allowed our client to collect on his entire judgment, including the attorneys' fees.
