Puerto Rican dealer brought wrongful termination claims in Puerto Rico under PR Dealer Law. Successfully moved to dismiss claims brought in federal court, and then in state court, based upon a binding arbitration clause requiring arbitration in Minnesota. Despite a provision in the PR Dealer law that a dealer had a right to a forum in Puerto Rico, both courts dismissed the claims based upon Federal Arbitration Act preemption. No subsequent arbitration claim eve was filed by dealer.
