Successful jury trial: defended international cereal company at trial against former employee claiming discrimination and wrongful termination.

Representing cereal company with R. Scott Davies as lead counsel. Former company sued cereal company claiming race discrimination, unlawful discharge, and reprisal in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Minnesota Human Rights Acts; promissory estoppel; and common law wrongful discharge in violation of an implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing. After a jury trial, the Federal district court entered judgment in cereal company's favor and dismissed former employee's claims with prejudice. Former employee later sued cereal company in State district court claiming defamation, retaliation and promissory estoppel. The state district court granted cereal company's motion for summary judgment.
