Bobak is an associate in the firm of Briggs and Morgan, Professional Association. He is a member of the Trade Regulation Section and Intellectual Property Group, and practices primarily in these areas. Bobak is admitted to practice in Minnesota and Wisconsin state courts. He is also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota.
Bobak has authored and co-authored articles on antitrust and international commercial arbitration topics, including protection of intellectual property rights under international trade and investment regimes. His recent work tracks developments in antitrust exemption law under the state action and implied repeal doctrines.
Bobak received his B.A. magna cum laude in law, jurisprudence and social thought from Amherst College, where he was president of the student senate. Bobak later worked at the U.S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division, where he assisted in major antitrust litigations and corporate merger reviews across varied industries.
Bobak is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he served as note and comment editor for the Wisconsin Law Review. He interned for the Honorable N. Patrick Crooks of the Wisconsin Supreme Court and served as teaching assistant for the legal research and writing program. Bobak received the Joseph Bercovici Prize, awarded to the top student in jurisprudence and legal philosophy. Bobak joined Briggs in 2008.
