Will Barnard is a member of the Business Law section and practices principally in the areas of:
- Corporate finance
- Securities regulation and disclosure

Will represents publicly and privately held companies and private equity firms across the U.S. in complex mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, financings, restructurings and other business transactions.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Will was an investment banker specializing in M&A and private placements and worked at a global asset management firm.
Will received his B.A. in philosophy from Brown University and his J.D. cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. While in law school, Will interned for the Securities and Exchange Commission and for the Rhode Island Attorney General. He was also the executive notes editor for the Jurisprudence Review.
Prior to joining Briggs, Will was a consultant for a financial research company and then an associate at a Florida law firm. He is admitted to practice in Minnesota and New York.
