Sally Scoggin is a member of the Employment, Benefits and Labor section and the Health Care practice group. Sally practices principally in the areas of:
- Employment litigation and counseling
- Executive employment and compensation matters
- Nonprofit law, including health care organization matters
Sally provides counseling and training to management on employment law issues. She works with employers on structuring, drafting and implementing employment-related policies and agreements, and counsels management on personnel decisions. She also provides ongoing representation and counsels health care clients and other nonprofit organizations on employment and consulting agreements; compensation; HIPAA compliance and privacy issues; and human resource matters, including those involving professional licensing. In addition, Sally regularly represents executives and management in connection with employment, separation, non-compete and compensation issues.
Sally handles cases in both state and federal courts in Minnesota and in jurisdictions outside of Minnesota. She assists employers in matters brought before the Minnesota Department of Human Rights, the Minnesota Office of Administrative Hearings, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and state licensing boards.
Sally has co-authored articles on non-compete covenants, workplace communications and False Claims Act cases.
