Paula Stumne is a member of the Estate Planning and Administration section and has more than 20 years of experience in the areas of:
- Estate planning
- Estates and trusts administration
- Tax planning
Paula helps individuals and families craft estate plans to attain their goals and objectives, including the preparation of wills, trusts, health care directives, durable powers of attorney and related documents. She advises clients on estate, gift and generation-skipping tax issues, as well as income tax issues associated with estate planning.
Paula has extensive experience settling estates. She assists multi-generational families and high net worth clients on all aspects of estates and trusts administration, including preparation of federal and state income, estate and gift tax returns, as well as the administration of estates with specialty and complex assets, such as closely-held businesses, real estate, oil/gas/mineral rights, promissory notes and valuable personal property.
Paula passed the Certified Public Accountant exam in Minnesota. As such, she has experience assisting clients with banking, investments, tax planning, financial planning, cash flows and insurance needs.
Prior to joining Briggs, Paula worked for multiple banking and financial management companies as well as in public accounting.
