Liz Meier is a paralegal in the Trust and Estates section. She primarily works with probate estate administration, trust estate administration, guardianship, conservatorship, real estate and estate planning.
Liz is responsible for assisting attorneys with managing probate estates, trust estates, guardianships, conservatorships and real estate. She also assists attorneys with drafting estate plans. As the department’s paralegal, she works with the attorneys by preparing and filing court pleadings, communicating with clients and attending client meetings. Liz assists clients with required reports for trust, estate and conservatorship administrations. Her work includes reviewing and preparing task lists for clients as well as working with clients to efficiently manage estates.
Liz started her professional career in a specialized area of law helping clients navigate long term care planning and then moved into general estate planning. She has many years of experience assisting clients as they navigate estate planning and new found duties as a fiduciary.
Liz received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota and received her paralegal training from Inver Hills Community College’s American Bar Association approved courses.
